Michael G. Secrest

 

acrylic & mixed media paintings by pm gallery's co-owner. Michael is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a BFA in painting.  He is influenced by tropical colors, architecture and our local parks, especially in Autumn. His technique is unusual. He treats the canvas to get a smooth, yet porous, ground, allowing him to bleed colors in a fresco like style. The ground also allows him to use pastels, unlayering and overlayering the paint surface.
