Zelle Glass House - Family

  • Peter Zelle makes these one-of-a-kind glass houses. These small sculptures brighten up and glow in natural daylight.

They are first carved in clay, from which a plaster mold is made. When the plaster hardens, clear and colored glass is placed into the mold and then heated in a kiln to 1500 degrees F. After the piece has cooled, it is affixed to a base. The glass can be placed outdoors, and the colors will never fade.

Peter is a resident of Minnesota.
