Maria's Evening Shots of the Sunset and other random musings.
This is rural Florida, a far ways away from the lights and traffic of Orlando, which is a glow on the horizon for us now. We are on a sand road, in an old house on a hill, overlooking a lake with changing moods, lots of wildlife and two dogs running around. One dog you know from the store - Sisko, our mascot. The other is Kira, a foundling from Georgia, still settling in to a loving household after unknown traumas, heart worm and near starvation. It took a little bit, but the two are buds now, wrestling and adventuring, coming home filthy and tick covered with fresh deer bones (illegally dumped somewhere nearby). They are almost to the point of sharing a bed, just in time for the damp chill of winter.
