The first few links will help you with navigating the Short North. The middle links are some of our artists, if you want to see their work in depth. The last link is for fun. We get a lot of odd bits from them, from motors to run displays to pink flamingo fencing. Good source for artists supplies - the kind you find in the hardware store.
- Short North Business Association The SNBA site gives an overview of the neighborhood - events, exhibits, and lists all the businesses and restaurants (SNBA members) that you might also want to visit when you come down to see us.
- The Short North Gazette Our local monthly rag, they are very heavy on the art scene and the artists behind the work. Lots of good writing, a little history, gallery listings and such.
- Betty's Fine Food and Spirits Betty's and their sister restaurant Surly Girl, have good food at a good price in a fun atmosphere. It is sorta upscale homestyle and my current favorite is the Surly Salad, available at Betty's.
- Happy Greek Ya gotta eat and this is good greek food. Fresh, warm pita bread delivered to the table starts you off. The vegetarian plate is a big hit with us. Opa!
- Short North Neighborhood Foundation The Short North Neighborhood Foundation (SNNF) exists to advance the creative spirit, diversity, and vitality of the Short North in order to benefit all who live, work, and play in its neighborhoods.
- innerArt "A scrollable art magazine!", as Charlie sez, and also a clearinghouse and directory of artists and events in Ohio. Fun and relevant stuff.
- Susan Sturgill, drawer Susan has been one of artists from the beginning. Her etchings are droll - sometimes, a little whimsical (sort of) - sometimes, and she does know her cats...and angels...and God, and a few dinosaurs and chefs, and zoftig women buying shoes. Check out the full line and some background on Susan.
- American Science Surplus Can't describe. Must experience.
